Purple Daylily 2

Purple Daylily on my deck #2 Believe it or not, this is the same Daylily plant I featured in my last post.Â Which one do you prefer?

1 Richard Wong June 21, 2008 at 9:43 am: I prefer the previous one because you can see the inside of the flower and because the background is cleaner. The backlighting on this is nice though.

3 Mark June 28, 2008 at 3:15 am: I have to say I actually like this one a bit better. I like the way the sun is shining down the throat of the flower giving it a glow. The background isn’t as clean here, but it is really only the dark bands that cause the issue.
4 Sherri Meyer June 28, 2008 at 5:16 am: Thanks Mark. I have to admit, my eyes go right to the circles created by the shallow DOF, that I hadn’t even noticed the dark bands. Thanks for pointing that out.
