Der Meyer Haus, Auburn, CA
Photo - Our house on December 08, 2007
So much for having a White Christmas this year, according to the Weather Man! Of course, we know that they are not always right!
We have been having a series of storms over the last few days and we are not done yet! But, the most powerful of them has passed through already. It dumped several feet of snow in the Tahoe area and a whole lot of rain here in the Sierra Foothills, which is a good thing! But, by Thursday afternoon, the storms will be over until after Christmas.Â
I thought it would be interesting to post a photo of what our house looks like currently, as compared to the photo I posted a few days ago, which was taken in March 06. Even though winter is officially almost here, it looks a lot more like fall here, than it does winter!
I hope the Weather Man is wrong. And I will still continue to "Dream of a White Christmas!"

is it a white christmas on most years or that is a special occurance?
I wish a White Christmas was the norm for Auburn. But, in the 21 years we have lived here, we have only experienced it once.
If we have one this year, you will hear me yelling all the way down in Southern California!
