During last month's low snowfall, I was able to capture this photo of one of Auburn's popular icons in the snow. This was only the second time I have had this rare opportunity.

the brightness on the dark colors is a bit too high I think; the parts that look like they should be nearly black on the tree to the right are turned up a bit high. I think the photo would benefit from a more drastic contrast between light and dark colors. Otherwise, great work! My first comment, although I’ve been following your blog for several months now.
Hi Corey – thank you for following my Photo Blog & for your comment. I can’t say I disagree or agree with you. The goal I was going for with this image was to create a more “painterly” look, which was done by adding fill light in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. Perhaps I added a bit too much? I went back & forth on the fill slider, before deciding on this version. Would you like me to upload the original photo, as well as one similar to this one with less fill light? I would be more than happy to do that for you.
Thanks again for your contribution! 🙂 Sherri
