Pond and Reflections

Pond and reflections, rural Auburn, California There are a lot of ponds in the Auburn area, but this is one of my favorites. Many common species of birds seem to claim it as one of their favorites as well. But, every year in the spring, the pond also gets visited by a not so common bird, the Green Heron. It is a beauty of a bird that lives in this pond for weeks at a time, before moving on.
