Mountain Biking the Quarry Road Trail

quarry-trail7.jpg Couple mountain biking on the Quarry Road Trail, Auburn State Recreation Area, Auburn, California The Quarry Road Trail is one of the easiest mountain biking trails in the Auburn area. It is mostly flat, with a couple steep hills and a few smaller hills mixed in. This beautiful trail is about 5.5-miles out and parallels the Middle Fork of the American River. You will also pass several waterfalls on your right, so don't pedal too fast. You might miss them! This trail is for people of all ages, which makes it the perfect family mountain biking trail. Pack a lunch, because there are a couple great picnic areas along the way. There are also several places where you can access the river for your picnic. In case you are wondering, Porta Potties are also available near the beginning of the trail and about a mile out. Beyond that, there are plenty of places to get off the trail if necessary. Please read my last few posts on the Quarry Road Trail for more information. If you have any questions, you can also leave a comment or email me at sherri@sherrimeyer.com.
