Fungi

I found this fungi growing along the Stagecoach Trail in Auburn, California.

There is a "Fungus Among Us." I couldn't resist! I found this fungi attached to a log down in the American River Canyon. This time of the year they are everywhere in our neck-of-the-woods. It is hard for me to believe that something so ugly can be so beautiful at the same time! What do you think? ~Sherri
