Deschutes River, Oregon – which one do you like best?

Photo #1 - As shotPhoto #2 - Experimented with saturation in PhotoShop
I'd love to hear your opinions about the 2 photos above. Which one do you like best?
I like #2 the best. It is amazing that you were able to get a drastically different looking image with just the saturation without it being detectable.
Yep, No.2 for me also! I also find that if I am doing a sepia photo, if I increase the saturation before I convert it, it gives more body to the sepia image.
The second is lovely, and now I really am in a quandray: whether to stay natural or go Photoshop. That is it when I have a few extra dollars not budgeted for food and housing. Ah,well. I do love the second, though. Can you tell I’m an absolute newbie?
Thank you for your opinion Barbara. We were all newbies at one time. In fact, at times I still feel like a newbie, as the industry is changing so quickly. I will always be a newbie at some aspect of digital photography.
I like them both for different reasons, of course. I put two versions of a painting of Iraqi women on my blog to get feedback. Didn’t get any…… so I will give someone else some feedback.
This is my first time and I think I did it wrong. I went to the bottom of the blog and commented on your question – on the wrong photo,, sorry. I like the bluer sky 🙂
Thanks for stopping by and giving your opinion of these photos, Lore. If you get a chance, can you guess how the shot of the Oak leaves I posted on 10/26 was created?

Thank you for your opinion Richard! I like # 2 the best too. I was also amazed at the results I got, by adjusting the saturation only.

Thank you DL. I have a feeling the results will be unanimous!

Hi Sandra,
Thank you for your opinion. If you will send a link to your paintings, I will be happy to give you feedback on them.
