Crowley Lake Sunrises

Our two newest images above were taken this past October, during our Eastern Sierra Road Trip. Can you believe that these two images were taken 30 minutes apart and from approximately the same spot? Yep...that's right. The only differences are that I was looking east when I shot "Purple Mountains Majesty" and looking west for "Fire on the Mountains!" They were also developed using different techniques in the super wonderful Photoshop Lightroom 3. When you have a great scene such as this in front of you...it's always a good idea to shoot it in as many ways as possible. You never know if you are going to return or not!
