Cross Country Skiing in the Sierras
Photo - Our friend, Peg, skiing with our dog, Cocoa, along the ridge off of highway 20, Nevada County, CA
Jeff and IÂ are looking forward to another great Cross Country Ski season this year. Hopefully, we will get out more than we did last year, which was only once. But, the previous year, we managed to ski a dozen times. Wow - that sounds a little out-of-balance to me!

That looks like a lot of fun Sherri. Quite a storm on the horizon. How is the snow looking right now? I have never skied once in my life yet.
It is great fun and a great workout too! Notice how close Cocoa is to Peg. This is typical. When we are skiing in deep, fresh powder, she cheats. She will try to walk on your skiis. Most dogs will do that. They are pretty smart!
The snow is not great yet, especially for backcountry skiing like you see in this photo.
I hope you get to give it a try sometime. You might like it!
