Cabin Fever
Snow falling on the Oaks and the Pines at our cabin in Auburn, California.
There is a little bit of "cabin fever" here at the Meyer cabin. It seems the flu bug got in here somehow and got the best of us. We don't feel like doing much of anything. So, it may be a couple days or so before I post again.
This shot was taken last winter. The snow was really coming down and nearly dark, when I ran out and "grabbed" this shot. It was taken at ISO 1000, 1/30 sec, f 2.8. with a flash.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Hope you get well soon Sherri. This photo looks very winter!
Beautiful image. Here’s get well wishes from us
Thank you Richard. Today is day 10, but I think I’m starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Thank you too Thomas, for the comment and the get well wishes.
Feel better Sherri. I hope you didn’t get the bug I got a few weeks back. It knocked me out and I’m just now getting rid of the last symptoms. As to this photo I love it. The out of focus snow in the frame adds a great touch.
Really like the overall feel to this image, showing depth, a bit of motion, and a certain surreal type of touch to it that I really like.
Excellent!
Hope you and the family are feeling better!
Michael
Thank you Jim. That’s great that you are finally getting over it!
Also, I’m glad you love the photo. It was very experimental and a grab shot, but I really like the way it turned out.
Michael – thank you for your opinion regarding this image. I really like your description of it. I hadn’t really put my finger on why I liked it. But, you are right. It does have depth, motion and a surreal look.
Thanks also for the get well wishes!
