Blue Angels at the Capital Airshow, Mather Field, Sacramento, California
When Jeff and I left home for the Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail photo shoot, we knew the Blue Angels would be flying high in the sky nearby. We were hoping to get a chance to see them perform, as we were very close to Mather Field during our shoot.
As we were driving between shooting locations, they were just starting their performance. We pulled off the road, parked and watched their entire show. They flew directly over us several times and I was able to shoot a whole series of photos of them.
I bet the people that paid to get in didn't have any better seat than we did!

great shot Sherri. the navy logo is a nice angle. i saw the Blue Angels once. i was working at the san francisco aquarium at pier 39 and they were flying right past our 2nd floor balcony!
