Ashley Memorial Dog Park
Doggone good times at Ashley Memorial Dog Park, Auburn, California
If you haven't heard by now, there is a new dog park in town. Finally!
This park has only been open a few weeks and already there are dozens of regular visitors. Some folks and their canine companions visit there nearly every day.
We have seen everything from Chihuahua sized dogs to Great Danes. They even have 2 different play areas; a large area for the larger dogs and a small area for the smaller dogs, puppies and the more intimidated types.
The park also comes equipped with wading pools and balls for the dogs. For the human visitors, there are benches, chairs and poopy bags.
Jeff and I have taken our dog, Cocoa, there 4 time now and we haven't witnessed one fight. Once the dogs get unleashed and enter the play area, they are all like one big, happy family.
If you want to visit when there isn't a full house, you will probably want to avoid going in the late afternoon-early evening. That is the only time we have been there so far and it does get quite busy during that time period.
No matter if you are an Auburn resident, you live in a neighboring town, or you are traveling through Auburn with you dogs, you should check out Ashley Memorial Dog Park, for a doggone good time!Â

LOL, i was actually considering taking a client to this park. well, not the DOG portion of it but the other end. we go to this park every week with our homeschool group. i wonder if i’ve walked right past you, lol.
love this moment you caught! the dog cracks me up. i love how some dogs love the water sprayed right at them like this.
Thank you Christie. I think you should take your client here. The lighting here late in the afternoon by the pond is awesome. I will be posting a photo or two, I took by the pond soon.
Our paths may have crossed, but only if you go around 6:00 in the evening.
The dog in this photo would do this all day long, if it had the opportunity.
Thats a cool shot Sherri. The dog looks like he is about to bite.
Thanks Richard!
