A Different Perspective
The famous and historic "No Hands Bridge," Auburn, California
While on a hike and location scouting trip recently down in the American River Canyon, I took this shot of the famous "No Hands Bridge." Â
I have photographed this bridge a few times, but not from this perspective. I really like the unique angle of view and the way the bridge is reflected in the American River.
This photo will be available in our Auburn Stock Photo Gallery soon, along with this photo of No Hands Bridge.

wowee, fantastic!!! did you park on 49 and hike down then?
Thanks Christie! Yes, we parked at the bridge and hiked a section of the Western States Trail. There is a really nice swimming hole below the bridge too. The temp is a mixture of the north and middle forks, so the water is colder than the NF and warmer than the MF. We also saw an Otter while we were down there. Cool!

What an outstanding shot this is! This is probably one of the neatest photos I have seen of this old landmark. The angle, the color, the reflections all make this terrific. I am curious as to what time of the year this is.
Thank you for the awesome feedback Terry!
This was shot last month, on June 13th at 8:45 a.m..
Nice shot!!! Love the reflection and color.
Thanks Ron. Good to hear from you!
