Middle Fork of the American River, Auburn, CA
This photo was taken on the same day the waterfall photo was taken. We were hiking on the right side of the river on the Western States Trail in El Dorado County. Had we been hiking on the other side of the river, we would have been hiking in Placer County.Â

Photo – Jeff is in his element! I think I’ll stick to photography!
We are busy working on our photos from our recent trip to Cabo. We went mainly to celebrate our 25th anniversary, but bringing home photos to add to our stock files, was also on the agenda. We will be uploading Cabo San Lucas photos to our galleries in a few days. Here is a partial list of subjects we will have available for licensing and print orders.
- Adventure -Â riding quadrunners on the beach, horseback riding on the beach, sunset dinner cruiseÂ
- Town shots – tourists, restaurants, transportation, native plants
- Beach scenes – local vendors, people enjoying the beach, wildlife
- Hotels and marinas
- Scenics – “El Arco” at Lands End
Some of these images will also be available as “digital art” photos. Check back in a few days!

Instead of shooting your subject at eye level, try shooting down from a bird’s eye view, or shooting up from a bug’s eye view. Try shooting from the moon roof of a moving car (I have only done this out in the Nevada desert), while out on a trail run, or horseback riding. Use your imagination and you will come with ideas of your own. Don’t be afraid to experiment!
