Close up photo of a rock outcropping along the Stagecoach Trail, Auburn, California.
Those of you following me on Twitter will recognize this photo. It is my background photo on my Twitter home page. I thought since it made my Twitter home page, I may as well feature it in a Blog post.
It would be great if more of my Blog followers would become Twitter followers and more of my Twitter followers would become Blog followers. All you have to do is click on the Twitter Widget on the sidebar of this Blog. If you are already a Twitter user, then click on “login.” If you are not, then click on “follow.”
You can also Retweet any post on this Blog by clicking on the lime green “Retweet” button. Retweeting is a very powerful Twitter tool, that can help your Twitter ranking in a BIG way and I will benefit too if you retweet my posts. That makes it a “Win-Win situation!”
Thank you for visiting. If you would like to leave a comment, simply click on the “comments” link (add your message in the box) at the bottom of this post.
You can also sign up for a “free” subscription to this Blog. Just look in the upper right hand side of the Blog under “Subscribe to Sherri’s Blog.” Then, either click on the orange button, or enter your email address and click on “subscribe.”

Abstract shot of Jeff mountain biking in rural Auburn, California
Every now and then, I like to try something just for the fun of it. That was the case when I shot this photo. I’m not going to reveal how it was created. Instead, I would like to see if anyone can figure out how it was created.
Any guesses?

Photo – Digital art photo of a Sierra Sunrise, Auburn, CA
I have been having so much fun lately creating Digital Art photos, I decided to experiment with the Sierra Sunrise photo I posted a few days ago. I really like the way this turned out.
Creating Digital Art photos has been a nice change from what I normally produce, which is travel, adventure and outdoor lifestyle images. I believe it’s important to break the paradigm every now and then and create just for the fun of it!

Zoom of Palm trees, Panorama Bluffs, Bakersfield, California.
IÂ decided to try zooming the Palm trees on the Panorama Bluffs. To get this effect, I used a Polarizer and zoomed at 1/10th sec at F 22.
For more information on this technique, be sure to read my tutorial how to create great zooms that I posted a few months ago.

Digital art photo of Palm trees, Panorama Bluffs, Bakersfield, CA.
I experimented a little more with the original photograph of the Palm trees I posted 2 days ago. Although I really like the digital art versions, my favorite one is still the original!

Digital art photo of Palm trees on the Panorama Bluffs, Bakersfield, CA.
This digital art photo is created from the same photo I posted yesterday. I liked the original photo so much, I wanted to see what other versions of it I could come up with, by doing a little experimenting in PhotoShop.

Photo – Abstract Aspen grove, near Bridgeport, CA
This abstract was created from the same original photograph of the Aspen grove I have been featuring over the last few weeks. I used the Spherize Distorting Filter in PhotoShop to get this effect. This doesn’t work well on all subjects, but with a little experimenting, you will find what works best.
Happy experimenting!

Photo – Abstract Aspen grove near Bridgeport, CA
Although fall has pretty much done it’s thing, I’ve decided that I’m not done creating fall images! Here is a very abstract version of an Aspen grove photo I featured a few weeks back.
