Baby Boomer Bobby Tudsbury kickin' up her heels, during her "Big Time Wowy-Zowy Retirement Party," on Wednesday in Roseville, California.
Wednesday was a very unique day for Jeff & I. We attended a retirement party we will never forget. Our friend, Bobby Tudsbury, rounded up about 40 friends and relatives for a one of a kind party to celebrate the “end of an era.” After working as a Hostler/Servicing Engineer at the J.R. Davis Railroad Yard in Roseville for 33 years, Bobby was calling it quits.
We were to arrive at the Railroad Yard promptly at 4:00 in the afternoon, for a group photo on (and around) one of the locomotives. Women were to come dressed SEXY. That didn’t fly too well with most of us ladies. It was cold. I opted for warm, not SEXY. Sure glad I did!
Funny thing, the group photo was more like 100 group photos. Our friend, Steve Chandler, was the lucky one with the assignment and he is a Landscape Photographer! He did a great job and was a great sport.
While it was a ton of fun being in the photos, I wanted to see the group from the Photographers perspective. I took a few photos and this one was one of my favorites!
As always, thanks for visiting and comments are always welcome and appreciated!

Hello everyone,
My name is Frogger. I wanted to let you know that my owner has just added 2 new ways to subscribe to this Photo Blog for your convenience. I am looking for readers of this Blog, who are not currently a subscriber to “test drive” one or both of the methods and let me know what you think. You would make me a happy little frog!
You can choose to subscribe using a reader, or the subscription by email method. Which one is right for you? Well, that is just a matter of personal choice.
If you want a reminder whenever my owner updates her Blog and you only plan on subscribing to a couple Blog feeds or so, then the email method would probably be best for you. On the other hand, if you subscribe to many Blog feeds and you want to keep them all in one place, then using a reader might be best for you.
Subscribing is really easy and it’s free. Just look in the upper right hand side of the Blog under “Subscribe to Sherri’s Blog.” Then, either click on the link and choose your reader, or type in your email address. That’s all there is to it!
Thank you for taking the time to read my post!

Jeff relaxing on our deck, Auburn, California
There are so many things we could do today to celebrate Father’s Day. But, most likely it will be spent at home listening to the live broadcast of the annual Father’s Day Bluegrass Festival in Grass Valley on KVMR, our local radio station.
Oh, I forgot to mention that Jeff is not really a Father. We only have a dog. But, that’s a good enough excuse to take the day off anyway, for a little rest and relaxation.
Happy Father’s Day to all the father’s out there, even if all you have are dogs!

Blue Angels – Capital Airshow, Mather Field, Sacramento, CA
The most exciting thing about our day in Sacramento was when we got invited to fly with the Angels.
Yes, that’s right!
Jeff and I both got to experience first hand what it’s like to fly with the Blue Angels. That has to top anything I’ve ever done!
Had you fooled didn’t I?
Happy April Fools Day!

Digital art photo of T-shirts, made from an original photograph
While Jeff & I were gobbling down our first authenic Mexican Tacos during our recent trip to Cabo, we couldn’t help but notice the variety of t-shirts available. We didn’t really have time to read them all, so I decided to take a photo of this display instead and read them later.

Has this ever happened to you? You daydream about all the places you would like to travel to. You think you haven’t been to very many places, that is until you look at your photos.
That happened to me recently. I was showing some of my photos to a couple of friends, when suddenly I had an “ah ha” moment. I realized that in order to have captured those images, that meant I must have been there!

Photo – Dog in stroller, Quarry Trail, Auburn, CA
Just when I think I’ve seen all the ways in which people spoil their dogs, I run (no pun intended) into this.
I was out on a run one morning with 2 friends, 2 dogs and a baby in a stroller. As we got closer to a person who was also pushing a stroller I said to my friend with the baby, “Look, there is another baby in a stroller!” As we approached this person, we notice that the baby was not a baby, but a dog – a very happy dog!
Now, that is what I call spoiled! I couldn’t resist taking this photo.
