During the past couple of years, I have fallen in love with shooting abstracts. Opportunities for shooting them are literally everywhere, but learning how to see them takes a bit of practice. Sometimes they are very obvious. Other times you might see a subject and wonder if it would be a good abstract subject. [click to continue…]

There are guidelines…but no rules. Be yourself. Explore the possibilities. Risk. Your best images will come when you make your own path, rather than following the path traveled by everyone else!
Our quad ride documented using a GoPro Hero2 Helmet Cam.
This is from a recent trip to Northeastern California. Jeff has been wanting to try out a GoPro Helmet Cam for months now. During our visit to R & R Huskies last month, he had the opportunity to try one out, thanks to our friend Badas Musher (April Wood)!
Thanks for watching. Stay tuned for Part 2, coming to your computer soon!
Kayaking in the Dark - Sue kayaking on Sugar Pine Reservoir, Foresthill, CA.
“Art & Adventure” is a new line of images we are currently developing. It will feature many different types of adventure photos turned into art, using both Adobe Photoshop Lightroom & Adobe Photoshop CS3.
You can view more photos here on our Facebook Page and you don’t even need a FB account! These will also be available for purchase soon from our Photography Website.
We are having the time of our life, during our 30th Northeastern California Road Trip! Honestly, I can’t think of how it could possibly be better!
We are staying in Adin, California with our new friends April Wood & Hugo & Terry Antonucci, who we met via good old Facebook. They very graciously offered us their wonderful RV to stay in during our visit. From the RV, we look out on 50+ beautiful Huskies. From their property, we can see Mount Shasta! We can hop on a ATV and take off into the Modoc National Forest and go for miles and miles and miles. Yesterday, they took Jeff & I on a 15 miler. It was only my 2nd real ride ever and the best!
We will have a lot more to share…but most of it will be on Facebook. So, if you would like to follow us a little more closely…hop on over to Sherri Meyer Photography on Facebook and follow our 30th Anniversary Northeastern California Road Trip. There you will also see photos we have captured of old relics, wildlife and more!
About the folks we are staying with…they are Dog Mushers…very serious Dog Mushers. They compete in some very popular races and if you love Huskies…April (Badas Musher) also has puppies available for sale. You can read more about her on her Badas Musher Page on Facebook! Hugo & Terri (R&R Huskies) also have a page on Facebook. You can follow them at R&R Huskies.
Thanks for following our travels and feel free to ask questions or make comments either here or on Facebook. They are ALWAYS welcomed and appreciated!
